Day 1:
Your four-day tour of Scotland starts from Glasgow (Scotland’s cultural hub and largest city), before driving to the charming town of Luss that sits of the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.
From Luss, you and your driver-guide will drive through Glencoe, stopping as often as you’d like to take in the incredible scenery and take advantage of the numerous photo opportunities this beautiful area has to offer.
Next, we’ll head to Mallaig to catch the ferry to the Isle of Skye, stopping on route to see Neptune Staircase and the Glenfinnan Viaduct (famously featuring in the Harry Potter films).
You’ll stay the night in the beautiful Isle of Skye at one of the Island’s many quaint 5 star lodges, allowing you to explore some incredible local dining options and bars.
Day 2:
Leaving the Isle of Skye, your first destination on day two of this four-day tour is Eilean Donan Castle: the most photographed castle in Scotland (and for good measure!), before heading north through The Great Glen and towards world-famous Loch Ness.
If you’re lucky you’ll perhaps catch a glimpse of Nessie the Loch Ness Monster!
You and your driver-guide will then drive through Inverness, stopping for a spot of shopping if you’d like, before visiting the historic Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns (a 4000-year-old burial site).
Your accommodation for the night will be Loch Ness Lodge, on the banks of (you guessed it) Loch Ness.
Day 3:
On the third day of your private tour of Scotland, we head south towards the capital city Edinburgh, stopping at Blair Castle and perhaps a spot of shopping at the House of Bruar.
From there, we’ll visit the picturesque towns of Pitlochry and Dunkeld, perhaps visiting a local whisky distillery if you’d like before driving over the River Forth and stopping for a photo or two of the three magnificent bridges (each of which were built in a different century).
Finally, we’ll wrap Day 3 up by dropping you off at The Balmoral Hotel and allowing you the chance to explore Edinburgh’s incredible array of bars and restaurants.
Day 4:
The final day of your tour of Scotland will be spent exploring the cobbled streets and incredible attractions of the country’s capital: Edinburgh.
Explore the Old Town and New Town of the city, which dates back to the 1700s, before visiting the historic Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace before a short hike to Arthur’s Seat to admire the sunset over and bringing our tour of Scotland to an end… although we’re quite sure this short taster will simply whet your appetite and we’ll be booking you in for your next visit to Scotland so we can continue our travels around the greatest wee country in the world together!
